The Titan FX ECN is part of the 30,000m2 Equinix Financial Trading Hub, integral with the infrastructure of the major financial exchanges – brokerages, investment banks, hedge funds and firms specialising in high-frequency trading (HFT).
Regulation
When choosing a trading broker, regulation is one of the first things that I look for. This is because a brokerage firm that is regulated can provide certain protection that an unregulated broker cannot. Titan FX retail brokerage is based in Port Vila, capital of Vanuatu. Vanuatu has been an established hub for financial services in the Asia / Pacific region for nearly 30 years. Titan FX is licensed and regulated in various jurisdictions under the following entities:
- Titan FX Limited which is registered and regulated by the Financial Service Commission of the Republic of Vanuatu (VFSC)
- Titan Markets which is registered and regulated by the Financial Service Commission of Mauritius (FSC)
Countries
TitanFX are not available in certain countries such as the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, North Korea, Iran, Vanuatu plus certain jurisdictions identified by the FATF or similar international organizations as having strategic Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing deficiencies. If you discover that the broker does not serve clients in your country for whatever reason, please feel free to browse our broker reviews for some alternative options.
Platforms
Titan FX has a solid choice of trading platforms, including the industry standard MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. The desktop versions of both are available on PC and Mac. There are also mobile trading apps and tablet apps for Apple iPhone and Android and Apple tablets and Android tablets respectively. Moreover, the broker also supports WebTrader, a web-based app that does not require any installation. Rather, it connects users directly to their trading accounts via their web browsers. Whether you choose to trade from PC or Mac, VPS, tablet or even from your mobile phone, Titan FX should have the trading platform that you’re looking for.
MetaTrader
MetaTrader is the industry standard trading software from MetaQuotes and the world’s most popular forex trading platform that is provided free of charge to all clients. Many traders prefer the cutting-edge technology of MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5). MT5 is the successor of MT4, with more advanced technical analysis tools and supported asset classes. MT4 on the other hand, is still very well suited for many forex traders due to its simplicity, established market position and popularity with expert advisors. More advanced traders can benefit from MQL5, the new programming language in MT5. This makes customisation, creation of EAs and trading robots much easier. A wide range of Expert Advisors (trading robots or EAs) are available for MetaTrader, as well as many third-party applications to help your trading. I like how MetaTrader is very user-friendly, with lots of built-in tools to make manual and automated trading as efficient as possible. You can customise the platforms according to your own needs and make it as simplistic or complex as your trading strategies demand.
MetaTrader Features
- Secure trading via an intuitive platform
- Real-time data export via DDE protocol
- Unlimited quantity of charts (MT5)
- Different chart types and timeframes
- Free download and demo account
- Built-in tools for technical analysis
- Built-in economic calendar (MT5)
- One-click trading from the charts
- Ability to hedge trades
- Automated trading with expert advisors
- Price alert notifications
MetaTrader App
With the Titan FX MetaTrader application, available for iPhone, iPad and Android, you can control your account, trade in financial markets and use 30 technical indicators for market analysis, as well as get financial news and emails. I am a big fan of this trading app and think it is the ideal way to check your trades and follow the latest market news from the comfort of your mobile phone. The app is modern, sleek and easy to navigate around with everything just a tap away.
MetaTrader App Features
- Real-time quotes of financial instruments
- The full set of trade orders, including pending orders
- Trading directly on chart in iPad version
- Support of all types of trade execution modes
- Full trading history with search
Webtrader
Webtrader from Titan FX is a full featured yet lightweight forex trading terminal that runs in the web browser of any modern device. Unlike some other broker solutions, the Titan FX Webtrader terminal integrates completely with your MetaTrader 4 and 5 accounts and requires no additional login credentials. You can trade quickly and easily in your account from any machine running any operating system, including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and others. Webtrader runs in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Edge web browsers. Webtrader is ideal for working on a borrowed computer when away from home, or for quick access from your tablet or iPad. Enjoy all the main features of the MetaTrader 4 and 5 desktop client including one-click trading without the hassle of downloading, installing and updating software.

- Open and close trades
- Set stops and entry limits

Tools
Through its trading platforms, the broker makes available for its clients a vast array of trading tools such as technical indicators for advanced charting capabilities and a diverse range of systems for algorithmic trading. There should be more than enough tools for everyone to conduct in depth market analysis. You will find all of the popular indicators and can get plenty more add-ons for the platforms from the MetaTrader marketplace. If that isn’t enough, you could always develop your own tools in the MQL editor or hire a freelancer to do it for you. Whatever your idea for a trading tool, chances are you can make it a reality. Traders who use automated trading systems may find its Virtual Private Server (VPS) offering useful.
Virtual Private Servers
Traders who use automated trading strategies executed by their Expert Advisor (EA) need a rock-solid connection to Titan FX trading servers. Using a VPS has many advantages over attempting to run an EA on your own PC. Running EA’s on your own PC can bring a lot of different problems. If you wish your EA to trade the markets 24/5 then you need to leave your computer switched on and connected to the internet around the clock. If you wish to use your own computer for other tasks then they may slow down or conflict with your EA. A VPS can be a solution to this problem by running your platforms for you remotely. I have my own forex VPS that I use to run multiple instances of the MetaTrader platforms simultaneously. It is an invaluable tool that enables me to test my automated trading strategies and compare brokers to see how they perform. The broker has partnered with some of the top VPS providers to offer a discount VPS plan for Titan FX clients. Whilst the discount is generous, you can get a free VPS from other brokers including IC Markets who also have excellent trading conditions.
Education
One of the aims of Titan FX is to equip its clients with the most effective forex education to prepare them for trading forex online. To this end, the broker provides educational sections on its website with a decent amount of content including some basic trading guides and up to date market analysis which can help inspire trade ideas. however, there is no dedicated trading academy and I do think there is some room for improvement in this area. If you are new to trading and looking for as much educational content as possible, please feel free to take a look at our best brokers for beginners.

Markets
With all the major currency pairs and many exciting minors and exotics as well as a broad selection of commodities, precious metals, Shares and Index CFDs, Titan FX gives you the flexibility to trade your way and take advantage of shifting market opportunities, all from state of the art trading platforms powered by the brokers very own proprietary Zero Point technology. You can trade a decent range of assets which includes a great selection of currency pairs, popular stocks and cryptos. I think there is more than enough for everyone to create a diversified portfolio, regardless of your interests.
Accounts
Titan FX offers you a choice of trading accounts to suit your trading needs and style. There is the commission-free standard account and the blade account which is commission-based. The standard account type, therefore, offers commission-free institution-grade STP spreads while trades on the blade account type, intended for experienced and algo traders, incur both a commission and variable spreads. Really, one of the most beneficial features of Titan FX is its low trading fees. With the broker, you can get started with just $200. Also, spreads are as low as 0.0 pips on the blade account type.
Zero Standard
This is a commission free forex trading account suitable for discretionary traders, and any trader who places a low volume of trades. It does not have the lowest spreads so might not be ideal if you are planning on using scalping strategies. On the other hand, the fact there is no commission fee as it is already included within the spreads does mean that the difference in overall costs could be negligible unless you are trading significant volumes.
Zero Blade
This account has a minimal per-transaction commission fee and gives the tight spreads demanded by high volume traders, EA traders and scalpers. The commission is very competitive and in line with what I would call the industry standard. I think it is great how you can get access to both accounts with a minimum deposit of just $200 as it is not uncommon to see brokers charge more for access to lower spreads.
Demo
The demo account includes $50,000 of virtual funds and will let you trial the platform for free but is only valid for 30 days. I think that demo accounts can be a great way to see what a broker has to offer and build your confidence at the same time. However, I don’t think 30 days is enough time so feel they could remove this limit. There are many other brokers who provide demo accounts that do not expire, including Pepperstone.
Support
Clients are the most important part of the brokers business which is why they invest heavily in developing their trader support team. It is their mission to get your questions answered in a prompt and polite manner. No matter what general, technical or account enquiries you have, you can communicate them to the broker via live chat, phone, and email, which are available from market open to market close every week. You can also check the FAQ for quick answers to some of the more commonly asked questions.
Funding
You can choose from a wide variety of quick and easy funding options for your trading account. The broker supports multiple methods of deposit and payment that include bank transfers, card payments and digital wallets. Simply choose what works best for you. Deposits into your trading account are free and they have a range of payment methods for you to choose to make depositing money as easy as possible. Titan FX doesn’t charge you fees when withdrawing funds and they are usually processed within 1 business day due to the automated withdrawals process. The broker does not currently support crypto funding but Hankotrade do if that is something that you are looking for.
Conclusion
Overall, there is a lot to be impressed about with Titan FX, especially the industry leading technology that they implement to ensure you can get access to some of the best trading conditions you will find anywhere. You can trade a good selection of financial instruments on the user-friendly MetaTrader platforms across all of your devices. I like how there is a variety of account types to cater for different types of trader with no restrictions on trading strategies. There are also plenty of funding options for convenient deposits and withdrawals. Despite the positives, I do feel they could add some more educational content and standalone trading tools whilst some may argue that the regulation is offshore. If this doesn’t bother you, I think they can be worth consideration.
