Other fees include the swap. When you open a position in the spot market, it requires a physical delivery which usually takes place within 2 days after the transaction date. In margin trading, however, there is no physical delivery, therefore, you can extend the settlement date of that position by rolling it over automatically to the next day.

Swap is an interest rate that is either paid or charged into your trading account at the end of each trading day, which depends on the difference between the interest rates of the traded currencies within a pair.

This account type has the tightest spread of all the accounts, but does charge a competitive $10 commission per lot per round turn. The other account types have slightly higher spreads but do not charge any commission fee as the costs are already included in the spread mark-up.

The spread is the difference between the bid/ask price and is a standard fee that you will need to pay most brokers for each trade position that you take on specific instruments. The spread can vary depending on the market conditions. During volatile markets, macroeconomic news releases and weekend gaps, spreads might widen more than usual which solely depends on our liquidity providers.

What is the Global GT leverage?

At Global GT, the maximum leverage offered is up to 1:1000. This offers traders the possibility to trade large contract sizes with a fraction of required margin. E.g. For 1 lot of EURUSD with a contract size of 100,000, a margin of $100 is required. Whilst this does increase the profit potential, it also increases the potential loss.

One unique feature of Global GT is the implementation of dynamic leverage. Dynamic leverage is a mechanism that dynamically reduces the amount of leverage required in real time to protect your account from excessive exposure.

It is considered a risk management tool that is used to balance the risk appetite of traders by allowing them to maximize their trading potential, taking into consideration the market risks that they are exposed to, particularly when trading larger volumes.

The larger the volume traded, the lower the leverage hence the higher the margin. The higher the leverage, the more profit can be achieved, but in the same way, trading risk also increases. This is where dynamic leverage comes in.

The way it works is that it automatically adjusts the level of leverage based on different volume tiers. These tiers vary depending on the type of instrument and the risk profile associated with each asset class.

You can change your leverage within your secure area (Clients’ Portal). Under the menu tab ‘Trading’, select the trading account, click on the Action (…), select ‘Request Leverage Change’ and follow the outlined instructions.

What are the Global GT margin & stop-out levels?

The Global GT Margin Call Level is set at 80%. A Margin Call is an alert/notification that occurs when your Margin Level % reaches a certain point. That means your positions are in danger of being liquidated and are near the stop out level. At this level you must either fund your trading account or close open positions in order to reduce your margin.

The Global GT Stop Out Level is set at 50%. A Stop Out occurs when your Margin Level % reaches a certain point. That means you have insufficient funds to support your open positions and liquidation (closing positions) will begin. The system closes positions starting from the ones that have the highest loss until your Equity (or Margin level %) becomes higher than the Stop out level %.

Do Global GT allow hedging, scalping, news trading & expert advisors?

Yes. GT Global do not impose such restrictions on trading. Provided you do not breach the brokers terms and conditions, you are free to hedge, scalp and trade during news events. They also allow automated trading strategies in the MT5 platform with expert advisors (EAs).
