Axia Investments ReviewCategory: Reviews | Author: Trading Brokers | Date: November 17, 2022
Axia Investments is an online broker that offers access to trade over 400 financial markets across different asset classes, such as forex, indices, commodities, stocks, and CFDs. The broker provides you with a sophisticated and easy to use trading platform so that you can get seamless access the markets from all of your devices. I like how there are multiple trading account options to choose from but didn’t find the required minimum deposit of $500 to be the lowest. However, if you are a beginner then you will be pleased to find lots of learning resources available free of charge on the Axia website. There is also the option of a free demo account which can be a good way to try out the broker and practice trading on their platforms before making any commitment.

Operating from Mahe, Seychelles, Axia Investments is a retail trading broker that offers multiple financial instruments for online trading via the popular MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform and proprietary AxiaTrader platform. The broker provides you with a generous selection of trading resources whilst offering competitive trading conditions, including multiple account types, various payment methods, leverage of up to 1:400, low spreads from 0.4 pips, and more. A responsive client support team is available to assist you 24/5 as and when needed. Axia has one very simple vision – to provide the ultimate trading experience. This means safety, a superior educational framework, robust tech, outstanding support and a remarkable experience overall for traders around the world
When I am looking at a broker, regulation is one of the most important things that I consider. I would always prefer to trade with a regulated broker as it gives me additional peace of mind that they can be trusted. Axia Investments is owned and operated by Smarttool Trading SC Limited, a Seychelles-based investment firm that is authorised and regulated by Seychelles’s Financial Services Authority (FSA). However, not all regulators are created equally. Many traders would prefer a top-tier regulator. If you are looking for a broker with licences from multiple top-tier regulations, City Index is a very well-regulated broker.
The broker does not offer services within the European Economic Area and certain other jurisdictions, such as the USA, British Columbia, Canada, and others. If you live in any of the restricted countries, you can find an alternative broker from our broker ratings.
Axia provides you with its very own proprietary AxiaTrader platform and the industry standard MetaTrader 5 (MT5). I think both platforms are user-friendly enough for beginners whilst implementing more than enough tools to meet the needs of even the most demanding of traders. I would personally go with the MT5 platform as I already know how to use it and like the fact that you can get it through many other brokers. On the other hand, if you master the brokers own platform and then decide to switch providers down the line, you will need to start learning another platform from scratch. Either way, I don’t think many people will have any problem analysing the markets, placing and managing trades with eany of the provided platforms.
The broker provides you with the MetaTrader 5 platform, an advanced trading platform that is designed to suit traders of all levels. It was launched in 2010 to succeed the MT4 platform, and it features one-click executions, stop and limit orders, up to three different chart types, support for the automation of trades using expert advisors, 30 superior technical indicators, 24 graphic objects, nine timeframes, and more. If there is a trading strategy that you can think of, chances are you will be able to build it in the MT5 platform. It has a built-in programming interface so that you can develop your own tools. If you don’t have any coding skills, you can download free and paid add-ons from the MQL marketplace. You can even hire a freelancer from the MQL website if you want to create something truly unique.
The broker makes the MT5 platform available as a desktop application for Windows and Mac computers; a web version that can run directly on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, other modern web browsers; and trading apps that are compatible with smartphones running on Android and iOS. The desktop platform is my preferred version as it has the most features. I think it is one of the best platforms for running automated trading strategies, known as expert advisors or EAs for short. The web platform is handy if you need to access your account from a device where the platform is not already installed. The MetaTrader app is perfect for me to manage my positions and check the latest market news from wherever I am and whenever I need to. Convenience, accuracy and utmost ease are all the main features of the mobile app.
- Customisable interface

- Instant, pending & limit orders
- Price alert notifications

AxiaTrader is the proprietary platform that is accessible through a web browser, desktop or mobile apps. The platform is loaded with features, including charting, indicators, drawing objects, one-click trading, and alerts. It has advanced charting tools for top precision and analysis. You can receive constantly updated trade signals and keep up with the newest market trends and remain ahead of the curve with our advanced signals system, which alerts you when markets change. I think there is a great range of strong indicators which have been designed with the most experienced traders in mind. Using some of the latest cutting-edge technology, Axia offers a reliable, user-friendly and intuitive trading platform.
- Accessible & Easy
- Lightning-Fast Execution
- Customized Alerts & Settings
- Risk Management
The brokers platforms are packed with plenty of tools that should be enough for most traders. You can also get some more in the form of add-ons and even develop your own. That being said, some of the tools I found the be most helpful are listed below.
You can get the latest updates of traders’ sentiment on all assets available with Axia Investments. Sentiment is an important indicator which is used to get an understanding of a market’s climate at any given time, and complements technical tools and analysis effectively.
Get regularly updated trading signals straight to your preferred device, via a variety of methods. Be on top of the latest market trends, and stay ahead of the curve with our sophisticated signals system which keeps you in-the-know when markets are moving. I like how you can receive the latest market news directly to your mobile phone and stay updated on the go. However, I wouldn’t take signals blindly without doing my own market analysis.
There are lots of powerful indicators, suitable for the most professional of traders. From simple moving averages to stochastic oscillators, analyse the markets at a high level for trading success.
Financial News & Calendar
You can stay on top of market-moving events with our financial news updates and calendar. Knowing about major geopolitical events that shake the market will not only help you capture powerful market moves, but also assist you to mitigate risk. I always like to check the latest news before making any trade decision.
Customized Trading Alerts
I think it is great how you can personalize your daily alerts with a sophisticated notification system. Select the assets you want to know about, define the type of analysis and select the frequency you would like to receive updates.
There are some learning resources on the broker’s website to help you make informed trading decisions. They include learning articles, trading guides, and an FAQ section that answers some of the common questions you may have. Axia Investments, through its client-centric strategy, empowers clients’ investment decisions by providing a unique practical educational program backed by original resourceful materials. If you want access to more educational content, tastyworks are one of the leaders when it comes to educating traders in my opinion.
You can find daily financial news and the latest updates that may affect your finances, investments, savings and financial health. Get a complete coverage of the global markets and real-time information to become aware of as many opportunities as possible. I found the articles to be up to date and easy to digest. I was even made aware of some market news that I may have otherwise overlooked.
Trading using technical analysis requires study and practice. Studying patterns and indicators is not enough, you need to master behavioural economics and risk management. The more knowledge and practice you acquire, the more confidence you gain. Axia provide some quality technical analysis articles for smart trades. If you are new to trading you can learn a trick or two to implementing into your own strategies.
You can trade on currency pairs, stocks such as Facebook and Google, indices such as FTSE 100 and Dow 30 and commodities such as oil and natural gas. The broker provided these instruments as contract for differences (CFDs). CFD trading allows you to speculate on falling or rising prices without needing to physically own the underlying asset. This is one of the main reasons that online trading has become more accessible to the modern trader. Cryptocurrencies, options, bonds, and ETFs are absent from Axia’s product portfolio, which may be a disadvantage for some traders. I personally like to diversify my portfolio in several assets from various asset classes. That being said, Freedom24 is a good broker with a huge product portfolio that you may consider checking as another alternative option.
Axia Investments can cater for beginners, experienced traders and pros, covering the full spectrum of needs. You can choose from an account that is best suited towards your current situation and trading style. I think that Axia has a relatively high minimum deposit compared to many other brokers that I have reviewed. If you want to try a broker with a low minimum deposit, then Trade Nation is an option as they only need a $1 minimum deposit to open an account. They don’t have spreads from 0.0 pips. Therefore if you are scalping or using an automated system, you might want to consider another broker such as Key to Markets. Another thing worth noting is that the broker charges an inactivity fee for inactive accounts, and it keeps increasing with the period of inactivity. There is a decent variety of trading account options available which are as follows:
- Min Deposit: $500
- Standard Spreads: 1.8 pips
- Leverage: 1:200
- Min Deposit: $2500
- Standard Spreads: 1.8 pips
- Leverage: 1:200
- Min Deposit: $10000
- Standard Spreads: 1 pip
- Leverage: 1:300
- Min Deposit: $50000
- Standard Spreads: 0.7 pips
- Leverage: 1:400
- Min Deposit: $250000
- Standard Spreads: 0.4 pips
- Leverage: 1:400
The broker’s client support team is available 24/5 to respond to your general, technical, and account-related inquiries. They can be easily contacted via telephone, email, and social media. I have always found them to offer satisfactory support whenever I have needed to speak with them.
I found the brokers funding options to be very limited. They only provide bank transfers and card payments. I think that they could improve significantly by adding more deposit and withdrawal options such as digital wallets and crypto. The time taken to process a transaction and fee is dependent on the payment method used. Axia does not charge any deposit fees. However, there are certain withdrawal fees for using different payment methods: 3.5% on debit/credit cards and $30 on wire transfers. These are typical fees you will find with most brokers that may not make that big a difference unless moving large volumes around. That being said, InstaForex has various payment options with free deposits and withdrawals.
Overall, I feel that Axia Investments have a decent offering for retail traders who are looking to trade forex, stocks and commodities. They have a good selection of over 400 financial instruments to trade via the user-friendly MT5 platform for all of your devices. The broker offers a good choice of account types with competitive spreads and fees, demo accounts, leverage of up to 1:400, and 24/5 support.
Despite the positive aspects, I feel they could improve by adding more payment options and educational content to help beginners. The minimum deposit is not the lowest compared to many other brokers and I would also prefer if they could add another top-tier regulator to give me more confidence. You can always try them on a demo account or look at our best brokers for an alternative.
