Chase You Invest from J.P. Morgan offer you self-directed investing and managed portfolios with competitive fees. However, I found the platform and trading tools to be quite limited as are the tradeable instruments. For a better alternative, you can check out our broker ratings.

- Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC)
- Managed portfolios
- No minimum deposit
- Restricted leverage
- Limited platforms & tools
- No MetaTrader platform
- No forex, CFD or crypto trading
- No online payment processors
- Telephone support only
Chase You Invest is a business of J.P. Morgan Securities LLC that offers you self-directed brokerage (via You Invest Trade) and investment advisory services (via You Invest Portfolios).
Chase You Invest gives existing Chase bank and non-Chase bank clients an easy and competitively priced way for the online trading of stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds, bonds and more.
You Invest is a business of J.P. Morgan Securities LLC who is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) scheme in the United States.
FINRA enables you to participate in the market with confidence by safeguarding your integrity. It is a non-governmental organisation that regulates member brokerage firms and exchange markets.
The SIPC is an investor protection scheme established in order to protect you against the loss of cash and securities in case a company cannot fulfil their financial obligations. The SIPC protection is limited to $500,000 with a $250,000 limit for cash. I recommend visiting their website for the terms and conditions.
Chase You Invest is a US brokerage for residents of the United States only. If you don’t reside in the US, I recommend checking out our broker comparison tool for alternatives.
Chase You Invest has basic web and mobile platforms for managing your banking and investment accounts all in one place. Clients can research, trade and manage investments online via Chase.com and the Chase Mobile app for Android and iOS devices. I like how the platforms are flexible which allows for trading whilst on the go from anywhere in the world provided you have an internet connection. I would’ve liked to see them offer their services on the MT4 and MT5 platforms like other top brokers such as Roboforex.
- Manage via web browsers and mobile app at any time from any place
- Trade thousands of securities
- Access to tools to help with trading decisions
- Access to market insights and education from J.P. Morgan
- Portfolio builder to help diversify your investments
- Make account deposits and withdrawals
Chase You Invest provides some tools and expertise that can be used to assist traders with making informed online investment decisions. I like how there is an area of the Chase You Invest website that is dedicated to learning and market insights. You will find detailed articles and videos covering a range of topics suitable for all levels of investors, including trading strategies, money management, platforms, market analysis, trading jargon and more.
Chase You Invest provides online trading on stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds, bonds and more. However, I would’ve liked to see them offer forex, CFD and cryptocurrency trading like other top brokers such as IG.
- Stocks & ETFs: 100 or more commission-free online stock and ETF trades, $2.95 per trade thereafter. $0 minimum to start
- Mutual Funds: $1 in no-load mutual funds with no transaction fees
There is a variety of Chase You Invest account types to choose from according to your individual investing needs. I like how the accounts allow you to research, trade and manage your investments online.
You Invest has account options whether you want total control or could use a little help. I like how there is a questionnaire on the website that can help make the right decision for you if you are not sure what account to choose.
- You Invest Trade Brokerage: This is an individual or joint brokerage account that has no trade or balance minimums. Brokerage account holders can research, trade and manage investments with 24/7 access to online tools and a wide range of investments. Includes 100 commission-free online stock and ETF trades
- You Invest Trade Traditional IRA & Roth IRA: Savings accounts for retirement
- You Invest Portfolios: With this account you answer a few questions and you will get a portfolio according to your requirements that is managed for you. The portfolios are designed and managed with the expertise and technology of J.P. Morgan. This account requires a minimum $2,500 investment and has an annual advisory fee of 0.35%.
Customer service is limited to telephone Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 9 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM ET. If you prefer a broker that offers 24/7 support, I recommend checking out FP Markets. You can also visit any one of the local branches throughout the United States. Despite the prompt and efficient responses from the telephone support team, I would’ve really appreciated it if they offered live web chat support and email.
Chase You Invest offers wire transfer for account funding. Clients can also transfer investments from an investment account such as stocks, ETFs, mutual funds or fixed income. I would find it so much more conveniet if they offered credit/debit card funding and other online payment processors such as PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, etc. For a better selection of payment options, you should check out easyMarkets.
There may be some additional fees charged when making deposits or withdrawals. The processing time can also vary depending on the financial institution. Bank transfers may take a few business days to clear.
I don’t like how accounts can only be opened in USD currency. This means that currency conversion fees can apply if you are not funding in this currency. PaxForex is a broker that offers a better variety of account currency options.
There is a short application form to complete on the Chase You Invest website in order to open a brokerage account, or any other account that you may require. You will need to provide personal details such as Social Security number, U.S. home address and date of birth. They will also ask you for your employment details and account preferences.
Once you have completed and submitted the online application it can take a few business days for your account to be verified. You will receive a welcome email once the accounts team have verified your account whilst they will be in touch if they require any further information during the process.

Chase You Invest offers competitive trading fees on multiple assets classes and have the backing of J.P. Morgan who are listed on the stock exchange. It is relatively easy to open an account although their brokerage services are restricted to the United States. I don’t like how the trading platforms and analysis tools are very limited as are the funding options. In addition to this, they do not provide forex, CFD or cryptocurrency trading. You should check out the best trading platforms for better alternatives.
