IG’s tastyworks changes its name to tastytrade
A media campaign to entice traders and investors to “Join the Club, Genius” will be launched next week by tastytrade, the renamed name of tastyworks, a subsidiary of IG Group and an online broker for self-directed investors.
Over the upcoming weeks, a complete switchover to the tastytrade brand will occur, and the trading platform will continue to function without interruption.
Scott Sheridan, CEO of tastytrade, said: “We created our brokerage business because we wanted to offer customers a unique combination of access to educational content, technology tools, and lower fees that could help them make smarter investment decisions. We continue to innovate and add new features to tastytrade that we know traders want, including improvements to our desktop and mobile platforms and better charting tools.”
JJ Kinahan, CEO of IG US Holdings, Inc., parent company to tastytrade and tastylive, commented: “Our team, forged in the Chicago options trading pits and with a collective 300+ years of trading experience, has been disrupting retail trading for over 30 years and we aren’t done yet. We continue to advocate for, and improve the total experience for retail investors, strengthening both their confidence and their understanding of risk and reward so they become more strategic active investors.”
By making it simpler to trade retail options, futures, and cryptocurrency on a single platform since the brokerage’s launch in 2017, tastytrade has contributed to the transformation of the retail brokerage sector.
The website also provides investors with access to knowledge on trading tactics, supporting self-directed investors and encouraging users to think strategically when trading. Options, futures, cryptocurrency, and stock trading are all covered in educational content.
Forbes and U.S. News and World Report both awarded tastytrade the Best Online Broker for Options Trading in February 2023 and the Best Option Trading Platform in 2023, respectively.
The financial information and education platform tastylive, tastylive Software Solutions, LLC, and tastytrade are all a part of IG US Holdings, Inc., a division of IG Group Holdings plc.
